What a great turn out we had on Tuesday, June 6 at the 80s Night Trivia and Silent Auction. Over 70 attendees came out to test their knowledge, eat, drink and bid on some great prizes. We had some great costumes there and lot’s of 80s fads decorating the table…who took home a rubiks cube and some pop rocks?
We started out the evening mingling and munching on some appetizers sponsored by US Bio Clean with drink tickets sponsored by Matthews Aurora Funeral Solutions. After that, we started the trivia competition. It was fierce, and the questions were hard…but everyone was a good sport. It all came down to the final question and how you wager your points. Our winners, the Handley’s, came from the bottom and took it all home! Way to go!
The best costume award went to Macho Man Randy Savage, aka Freddy Brown Jr. But we had a close second with Brett Michaels, aka Steve Handley, and a few other really great costumes!
Between the silent auction, ticket sales and floral auction at the banquet dinner, we ended up raising $4777 throughout the convention! This is a great boost towards another successful school year helping Arizona Children with medical needs! Thank you to all you sponsored, donated and attended!
