Another Golf Tournament is in the books! We had a wonderful turn out at the 2013 AFCCA Foundation for Children Golf tournament this year. 37 golfers came out to enjoy a beautiful, albeit windy, Arizona spring day. The wind worked in the Executive Director’s favor for selling mulligans, though we all know NONE of the golfers out there that day truly needed them.
Between golf registration and raffle tickets sold, the profit for the event to go towards the foundation was $3700. That’s roughly 50 pairs of new glasses for Arizona School Children!
Prizes for all came out of the wood works from various vendors, firm locations and other donators. Almost everyone went home with a prize of some sort!

Another big thank you to Dixon Golf for sending out a representative to our tournament. I know several of our golfers were excited to receive some free items as well as a free golf club (paying for shipping) from Dixon Golf. They also helped us raise additional funds for the Foundation by selling coupon books with over $300 in savings.
Cash prizes went home to the 1st and 2nd place team, as well as the winners of our three Challenge Holes.
All in all, the day was a success and everyone had a great time. Be sure to register for our next Fundraiser event, our Texas Hold’em Poker Tournament on June 5th, 2013. This one is going to be a big one, with $1000 cash to the winner!
